2005

A Journey Started

The Primary School Library Book Project in Bon skor Community provided reading resources for students and teachers. A donor contribution of 3,800 RMB and a local contribution of 813 RMB benefitted 309 students and teachers.

2006

On the Road

With a total donor contribution of 50,860 RMB and local contribution of 11,359 RMB, we implemented two teaching programs, provided library books, solar cookers, and solar electricity generating panels that are benefiting 12,250 local residents.

2007

Sparkled Passion

With a total donor contribution of 87,600RMB and local contribution of 28,200RMB, we ensured the implementation of two teaching programs, a health clinic, and solar electricity generating panels. These projects have benefitted a total of 2,102 people.

2008

Starting

Friendship Charity Association was founded. A total donor contribution of 156,950 RMB and a local contribution of 138,503 RMB ensured the successful implementation of two annual teaching programs, a running water project, library books for two schools, solar cookers for two communities, and scholarships for five students.

2009

Really Started

A donor contribution of 323,077 RMB and a local contribution of 329,414 RMB ensured the implementation of two annual teaching programs, a pilot teaching program in one community, clothes for the poor, scholarships, a water project, and operational funds for two years and office facilities. Commenced long-term partnership with HuaQiao Foundation. The year’s projects benefited 2,696 Tibetans.

2010

Synergy in Small-Scale Development Work

A total donor contribution of 822,522 RMB and a local contribution of 628,485 RMB ensured the implementation of a folk song recording project, folksong performance competition, craft-making training, a comprehensive health and environmental project for five communities, three running water projects for three communities, one irrigation project, library books for two communities, a pilot teaching program in five communities, two annual teaching programs in three communities, scholarships for eight students, a Yushu earthquake relief project, a handicrafts project, and a New Year concert project. Administrative costs were 13%. Projects benefited 20,023 people.

2011

Momentum

A total donor contribution of 603,636 RMB and a local contribution of 398,800 RMB ensured the implementation of two annual teaching programs in five communities, kindergarten teacher training, publication of a Tibetan education journal, scholarships for fourteen students, a craft-making project, education supplies for five Tibetan kindergartens, a health clinic, toilets and pigsties in two communities, embroidery training, literacy and vocational training, clothes for the poor, folksong recording, and organizing a New Year concert. A total of 16,314 local residents benefited.

2012

Education as Focus

A total of 784,762 RMB and a local contribution of 535,390 RMB ensured the successful implementation of bi-annual teaching programs in five communities, kindergarten teacher training, scholarship for twenty-three students, education journal publication, education supplies for a kindergarten, two clean running water projects in two herding communities, health and hygiene projects in three communities, a cultural preservation project, an artisan empowerment project, a solar water heater project, a wheelchair project for disabled people, clothes for the poor, and recording endangered Tibetan folksongs. Projects benefitted 18,094 impoverished residents.

2013

Participatory and Small-Scale

A total of 943,041 RMB and a local contribution of 725,283 RMB ensured the implementation of bi-annual teaching programs in five communities, kindergarten teacher training, a scholarship program, Tibetan education journal publication, water projects for three remote communities, pigsties and toilet projects, education supplies for two Tibetan kindergartens, solar water heaters, health and hygiene in three communities, library books for two Tibetan schools, recording endangered folksongs, and operation funds. This year’s projects benefitted 14,194 local people.

2014

Transition to Ganglha

A total donor contribution of 921,071 RMB and a local contribution of 390,326 RMB ensured the successful implementation of bi-annual teaching programs in five Tibetan communities, solar cookers for six communities, education supplies for three Tibetan communities, a women empowerment project, two water projects for two communities, a water cistern project, a scholarship program, and clothes and quilts for the poor. This year’s projects benefitted about 9,789 local residents.
